Cédric Boyer wasn't a pro. Not a familiar face on the circuit, not a name on a poster. A player like you, like us. In November 2025, he treats himself to a The Bluff Club piece: the "To The Stars" t-shirt from our very first collection. Nothing more than a t-shirt he liked.
A few months later, he's drawn at random among the collection's buyers and wins a full package for the EPT Paris Main Event. Buy-in, flight, 5-star hotel: everything covered. An amateur, propelled to the table of the biggest tournaments on the European circuit.
A t-shirt on the PokerStars stream
He could have just been happy to be there. He played. He held on. Table after table, he survived where seasoned players fell. On the official PokerStars stream, in front of thousands of viewers, the commentators ended up calling him just one thing: "the t-shirt guy". Then another name came, even more fitting. Cédrillon, the French Cinderella.
39th out of 1,453. In a t-shirt.
The result comes down to three numbers. 39th place. 1,453 players at the start. €21,325 taken home. A real Cinderella story, written live at EPT Paris, in a t-shirt that owed nothing to anyone.
No one expected him at that level. That's exactly the beauty of the story: poker remains one of the rare arenas where an amateur who dares to sit down can live, for the length of a tournament, a champion's day.
